Anyone got some fast advice?

So, someone who may or may not have been one of you lovely people nominated Who's Left and Who's Leaving for the SG Awards. To whomever did that: thank you so much! It made my day to get the notification.
But meanwhile, for everyone who's read that story and knows what happens, I've got a question I could really use your input on. They ask nominees to select appropriate warnings -- so do I warn for main character death, or don't I? I'd be sad to do it -- it spoils the central premise, it'll scare unfamiliar readers away, and it's inaccurate to boot -- but I also don't want to traumatize anyone or unduly piss people off.
If you've got half a second to leave a comment, I'd love your input. Rationale is helpful, but so are a handful of people saying "yes" or "no," because I can always go with the majority vote.
Thanks, guys. As always, I'm in your debt.
