I haven't watched it yet, and I don't want to spoil myself, but I know the premise and I have to ask:

Scale of 1-10, just how bad is this going to stamp on my discomfort/mortification/terrible-boundaries squick?

Ohoho.

Um...off the scale? D:

Could I be any more vague?

I actually didn't have a problem with it. I think they avoided potential disaster by---how do I say this without spoiling you...the people at the convention were not who I would have expected at a real SPN convention. I don't know, it didn't feel mean-spirited to me. *shrugs*

Overall, not great. Could have been much worse--partly (largely) for the reasons [personal profile] landshark mentions. But, there is a happy surprise just before the end!

I have a very sensitive mortification squick, and I was pretty ok with it. Have you seen Monster at the End of the Book? It was not nearly as bad as that one. Which is not to say there weren't other problems with the episode, just that it didn't embarrass me.
